Well, The Campout this past weekend was a sucess, Minimal of issues made it enjoyable for all.
We welcomed our newcomers to the Island, Mr. and Mrs. Martin. All Scouts made the BSA swim test in
great time. We made it to the island a bit earlier than nornal but it was a good thing, Previous
visitors left it in total disarray with trash all over the campsite. Thank you Scouts for doing a
police up before we set up camp.
Signoffs went well for the younger Scouts. Again the cooking was great with a variety of meals prepared,
Congratulations to Stephan for receiving the Golden Skillet. Conner D did a great as well cooking his
first island pancakes. As the newest cook there he put his heart into it and will be a force to be
reckoned with at the grill in the future.
Thank you Ryan B. for taking on the roll of SPL, co-ordinating the BSA swim test and all the activities
for the Scouts while at the island. Also Ryan B. took it upon himself to cut up a fallen tree in two pieces,
take off all the limbs and this to be used at a later date for a Gateway, Flagpole or anything else.
