Eighteen scouts attended the trip. We backpacked from Juniper Springs to
Hopkins Prarie (9.2 miles on Saturday and from Hopkins Prarie to Salt Springs
(9.8 miles) on Sunday. Of the 18 scouts, four dropped out on the second day
at the 12 mile mark at our lunch stop and opted to be ferried to Salt Springs
by Messrs. Wells and Zawadski. No major issues to report. By the second night, everyone was pretty much worn out to where all were generally calm, and just wanted to eat and talk around the camp fire. We had a great couple of days although Monday greeted us with quite the storm. As a result, several folks took tents home to dry them out.
